Come take a little ride with me and see some of the art, sculpture, architecture and beauty that Downtown Sacramento has to offer.
One of the slides is a photo looking at the Tower Bridge was taken during the many fires that we are experiencing the effects of. We always have bright blue skies but you'll see that just a few days ago the skies were gray. Thank heavens the firefighters seem to be getting a handle on the Butt fires so are skies today are blue again.
The pictures in the slide show were taken after spending the day with a new home buyer from Chicago who was staying at the Embassy Suites down by the Tower Bridge. We looked at homes in Elk Grove, Natomas, Roseville and Granite Bay. It was quite the real estate tour starting at 10:30 and ending a little after 6:00 pm.
Mr. X, the home buyer asked me if it was going to rain. I guess the sky in Chicago looks like that iin the photos when it rains. The color of the sky here is a direct result of the fires throughout California.
Couldn't resist taking a few photos while I was Downtown to share with you.
Hope you enjoy taking look at Downtown Sacramento as much as I enjoyed taking these photos. I'll be curious as to what you liked the best, I know I have my favorite.
Look for Downtown Sacramento's new parking meter where ATM cards and credit cards are used. Out with the old and in with the new. I heard that the City was actually selling some of the old meters but unfortunately not giving the new owners the keys...hmmm wonder what you could use an old parking meter for?
If you are thinking of a Sacramento relocation, be sure to check out the neighborhood videos and neighborhood information at Sacamento Real Estate Voice.
Patricia, thank you. Even with the grey fire skies from the fires it still shows off well with the variety of architecture of the buildings, the sculptures and the little nuances.
Nice slide show Gena. Does it work in the outside blog and localism too? It's quite a challenge to make posts that have eye appeal across all platforms. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth all the effort.
Georgina, thank you.
I tried a new program to do this in SkyAlbum.com. (the link that is suppose to be above this comment is not there so please excuse the rudimentary way I have put the link.)
It is free and I wanted to see how it worked. The downside at least as far as I know is that you can't move the photos around so when you load them you had better have them in the order that you want to sue them. SkyAlbum is really quite easy and I'm sure the next time I use it, I'll do a better job.
Yes it works in all the platforms.
Lorinda, now that the fires are somewhat under control, it would be a good time to come. The sky is a light blueish grey and hopefully in the next few weeks we can return to the beautiful baby blue skies that we are use to. Come on over for a visit and stop by to say hi!
Tony & Darcy, yes please do. There are so many things to do and since we are between the Sierra Mtns. and San Francisco, it makes day trips really ideal. We would love to have you.
Miriam, there are a bunch of backgrounds if I remember correctly to chose from when selecting how to present the photos but since I was multi-tasking I just simply let the default take care of it all. I'm sure there are many different selections to chose from.
Bill, yes thank you. I thought it was an eye-catcher that might capture some interest. I love all the interesting art sculptures around the Sacramento area and the way that the landscape touches add to the beauty of CA's capitol, Sacramento.
Karen, this one is so simple you really need to just bite the bullet and do it. Give it shot, you'll be glad you did. It's very, very simple. And the program is FREE.
Thanks for this great visual, Gena. I'm going to try this for my Limo Tour Invitation. I'll be linking your AR blog as well, so keep an eye out. Thanks for everything!
Love the new slideshow software. I'll have to check it out. I've been through Sacramento, but usually only flying through via I-5 or 80. Very pretty city.
Marian, can't wait to see what you have in mind. Sounds intriguing! (by the way, I would have bolded your name but unfortunately all of the controls are missing...)
Great photos and terrific slide show, Gena. Off to check out what you used. Thanks for sharing. Since I have no immediate plans to be in Sacramento it's nice to gan a better sense of the city.

I've never been to Sacramento, and your photos make the place look just lovely!
