"The size of the loan package may be 300 Billion"

Here we have the government doing what most Americans have done and that is go get a HELOC!

"Each company now has a $2.25 billion credit line, set nearly 40 years ago by Congress. At the time, Fannie had only about $15 billion in outstanding debt. It now has total debt of about $800 billion, while Freddie has about $740 billion. Today the two companies also hold or guarantee loans valued at more than $5 trillion, about half the nation's mortgages."  full article in nytimes is http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/14/washington/14fannie.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1

The Bush administration was alarmed.

What alams me here is the underlying fact that says we are the ones picking up the tab. Well, where else will they get the money?

There is a circle and there is a cycle. The circle assures that what goes around comes around and the cycle is a possibility of elevation!

Heloc what a word. I have been blogging about it for a long time. I first was alarmed when I found out they were being frozen. What no more speculative savings account from my own home?

The is precicely what the Government has had to do.

I want the truth. Where is Haliburton? Dick Cheney and his crew have been very quiet as of late.

If I had my hand in the pocket of America would I just as soon spend my time hunting?

Taxpayer confidence. There is a word for that , "oxymoron" Wickepedia calls it a combination of contradictory terms like SHARP and DULL with the following note that I found interesting.

The most common form of oxymoron involves an adjective-noun combination. For example, the following line from Tennyson's Idylls of the Kingcontains two oxymorons:

"And faith unfaithful kept him falsely true"

This reminder of a great story worth reading again. That's my idea a rest, reading.

I am the one people call "up" a happy camper, so many names that I like to hear. I rise to the task and say ok, we have this loan America. Can we please make some money, some real money.

This means getting entrepreneurial.

This means getting quality old fashioned character out and dusting it off and teaching it to our youth.

Role reversals in society-teacher payraise- and Administration to be judged by teachers

It is to reward the leaders for good (money) and punish the white collar leaders (in the pocket)

How much change can we take?

From contaminated meat we will be eating more plant based food

From plastic bottle waste we will learn to drink our tap water (possibly filtered right at home)and take a stainless cup with that water to drink in the car

From frozen helocs we cut up credit cards... we can do this...sorry to starbucks, sorry to summer sales

From homeowners in Florida to California specifically, my brother in Tampa to my family in Redondo Beach. Our homes differ in three more zeroes. It's all the same water same sky same ocean.

From each other we can reach over and say....we can do this...and much much more.

Hope and Faith take a front seat in our life.

Usually I am quite the optimist and keep on keeping on but I have been bothered two weekends in a row because of silence.

The first set was up at Zion NP during a holiday weekend.  A campground normally filled with motor homes was half empty with only a couple of motor homes.  Mostly RV and tent campers were left standing.

The second weekend (yesterday) was spent up at Lake Las Vegas and a 6 mile bike ride preceeded that.  When we got there I was in SHOCK that an empty village welcomed us.

It is rough and people are holding back right now.
