Once again Apex's numbers show it to be a popular area to buy a home! The number of homes sold were up slightly from May, although the numbers of homes on the market increased slightly also. Hopefully we're returning to the traditional springtime increase in residential home sales activity.

The number of sold homes for May of 2007 was 83, May of 2008 was 84. Yes, more homes are for sale now, but buyers are still out there.

The good news is the average Days on Market in the Apex area shows a decreasing trend. Homes are not sitting on the market as long as they were, nor compared to the Days on Market for the rest of Wake County.

Finally, the supply of homes in Apex is only 4.6 months, compared to the rest of Wake County having a  6.5 month supply of homes, and some areas of the country having a 55 month supply of homes.
