My son saw some old pictures of me, dated about 20 years ago, and he was convinced I was in a rock band!

For a very brief period of my youth I did in fact sing and write songs on my acoustic guitar. And, as many of us probably went through in the past, I was sporting quite a different look and image back then.

Long hair, exotic cloth bandanas, ripped jeans....you get the picture!

So yesterday, when I turned on my Fender amplifier very loud and goofed off on my Fender Telecaster my kids gathered around in amazement. They kept insisting I was in a band and that they saw me on TV before!

Pretty cute stuff! No, I'm not a rock star turned Realtor. In fact, truth be told....today I completely suck on guitar!

I never learned how to play cover songs and I've forgotten how to play any of the songs I wrote, way back in the day. All I do today is improvise on a few chords I know, try to relax a bit and then jump up and get back to my laptop and focus on real estate!

Now, my job is to be the biggest rock star in my kid's lives, without ever singing a note or picking up a guitar!

How times have changed!
