The Official ActiveRain Gathering at RE Connect - San Francisco

Well, it's less than a week away! The rumor is true, the ActiveRain Team will be in San Francisco next Tuesday thru Thursday for the Inman Real Estate Connect and we're hoping we'll get to see and meet many of you there. If for some reason you can't join us this year, we'll be bummed, but that's OK, there will be plenty of Bloggers jotting, tweeting, uttering, videoing and texting all about it. Stuff will be popping up all over the web during the entire event I'm sure.

Here's what I know so far:

The REBlogCamp is Tuesday. Beer with Bloggers sponsored by Zillow will be Tuesday night. Weds. Night - House Party Hosted by Trulia. ActiveRain will also be announcing the winner(s) of the MakeOver 2 TakeOver challenge, (TBA). The ActiveRain Gathering will be taking place, wait a second, I'll come back to that..

Here's the Inman RE Connect info, the schedule, and The Top 10 Reasons To RE Connect

If you'd like to join us, let us know so that we can get an estimated head count, we'd like to get an idea of who will be there for sure. ActiveRain Parties Gatherings are some of the best Gatherings Parties you'll ever attend. I'm hoping to capture most of this event with photos and on video, that way we can share the best stuff with those of you who might not be able to make it. It's going to be a Blast! Jon says "No Working!" Actually, he said "Net Working!" The guys, just want to have fun.

The M2T Teams were ALL awesome this year, but these are the folks who made it to the very end, Congrats! You should all be very proud, I think I can speak for ALL the AR members in saying, thank you for sharing all you have so openly and willingly, and for having such a great spirit and attitude, you've made many winners! Good Luck in the final challenge, we're very excited to see who's left standing in the last round!!

Now, back to the gathering, I guess the title of this post was a little misleading in that I have no details for you about the gathering other than we will be there for sure!! The Flights are booked and confirmed...

Come back, and check for updates and details, I know I'll be getting a call from Jon, Bob, or Rich after I hit the button. Let's see how long it takes before they see this post.

UPDATE 7/17 - The intensity is building, hearts are pounding, the comments are blazing away here, and now, I finally have the news you've all been waiting for. So grab your calendar, the ActiveRain Gathering Party will be at the Hotel Adagio in Union Square, up in the Bolero Penthouse Suite. It starts at 9:00pm on Wednesday, so don't be late. Make sure you wear a photo from your ActiveRain profile page on your lapel, (so we'll recognize you), especially if your photo is outdated. hehe..

The Bolero Penthouse Suite is located on the 16th floor, offers sweeping city views and adjoins to an outdoor terrace. The Suite includes complimentary high-speed-Internet access, now that's too funny. :-)

Lastly, don't miss Rich Jacobson and Myself in what's being called, "the boxing match of the Century." It's the Wii Championships being held at the Trulia House Party. For the Main Event, come watch Jonathan Washburn take on Pete Flint for the Wii Tennis Championship of the World! There is some serious competition happening at Inman this year folks, you are ALL in for a wonderful and exciting treat...

ummm, Brad........I forgot to tell you........we had to cancel your ticket. They were totally booked and Joel called and asked if we could give up one of ours.......you're the new guy so.....hey, there's always next year!

We'll have info on the gathering together shortly. We have a few venues and just need to get a better idea of how many people are going to be there. I'm looking forward to meeting those I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet and of course catching up with the familiar faces from conferences past. Good times!!

Thank you for pulling this all together. You're excitement is so infectious. I really think you deserve a raise lots of praise. :-)

Don't worry about Bob's comment, we'll either scalp a ticket in front of the hotel to get you in or you can have Bob's ticket. He always causes a scene anyway, in fact, I think Inman may have asked that we leave him at home.

I have to tell you, I'm getting really stoked about this event. This will be my first Connect, and the first time that I've had the privilege of meeting so many people I've befriended over the past 2 years. Brad Inman personally contacted me and asked if I would chaperone Mr. Stewart's activities, so I think we're good to go!

If Brad is doing redbull/vodka runs then he can have my ticket! I won't need it, haha. And Rich, be careful what you ask for :-)

Ok guys, pick on the new guy, go ahead. This is all just going to make it that much more fun and exciting...haha! Boy have I got some surprises for you both!!! Go ahead, have your fun, but when we get to SF, you're in my backyard!! :-)))

I know you will learn lots, maybe more than your schedules can handle,lol as often happens with many of us real estate bloggers. Under the pretext of blogging, a whole multitude of industries and technologies abound. Us simple ones, just write and you get to tell us the next steps to take in that optimization. I am already feeling in overwhelm trying to figure out how to optimize my efforts with localism. I am sure Jeff , Roberta , Gena, CJ, Brian, Lynda, Kay, and the other power bloggers will fill us in. It isn't ever the same as being there but it is what it is.

Brad, I'll be in San Francisco by 11 a.m. on Monday. I'd say we could host the party at my sister's apartment about 10 minutes away from the hotel, but I doubt she wants 75-150 real estate bloggers crashing her one bedroom apartment.

I'm staying through the following Tuesday. Not only will it be a great conference and Active Rain Party, but it's also given me a good excuse to visit both my sister and sister-in-law who both live in San Francisco.

You guys are hysterical! Emily and I wish we were there for the M2T but congrats to all of those that made it. Thanks for so much great information and the chance to learn!

Brad, I'll be with you guys in spirit and plan to do a Virtual Beer With Bloggers! You guys did some great parties last January in NY, Hope they're planning another NY event in January!

I am so excited, but I will sleep on the plane the whole way. Three new listings and a buyer from CA coming Sunday. I don't usually work with buyers, but he found my post on Stonebridge and called so I decided to. See hyper local blogging works, just posted it last week.

Off to do my video for makeover2takeover tonight. Oh my did I say, my husband will be so glad when I talk about something else??? LOL

Hey Brad, I was hoping to make it to Inman this year...didn't work out. Wish I could be there and I hope you all have fun!!

Okay everyone, now I am officially jealous of all you! I want to go...I want to go...I want to go! :o)

My husband and I were planning to go to the conference this year + take a mini vacation in SF and now I am TOTALLY bummed because we can't go! We went last year and thought the conference was FANTASTIC...so much so that we couldn't wait to return. We had even invited another company to come along with us this year (they are still going) because we felt that it was better than any other real estate conference we have been to.

Now we have two tickets that we can either cancel for $100 each, or have roll-over to next years conference...or sell them! I would like to sell them if possible....otherwise we'll let them roll. We purchased the conference package (conference + one workshop) early bird tickets for under $500 each...so if anyone knows anyone that wants to go but doesn't want to pay the current conference package rate of $759 a ticket, please email or call us. www.TheSundinGroup.com.

P.S. Inman was the one who suggested we try to sell it for our early bird price, so this means the tickets are transferrable. Also, we signed up for the bloggers workshop...but I think you can switch this to any workshop you'd like to attend (this would have to be confirmed).

I am in in in.................... Got my room... my ticket and MY camera. Please make sure we have some top shelf vodka and tequila .... and of course all wavers on the video cameras must be signed at the door.

The AR party at the NAR convention in Vegas was *insane*. I don't remember a whole lot, but I seem to recall somethng about a stripper pole in the bathroom and a bed on hydraulics. Oh wait, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...

The AR gathering at Inman NYC was also a hoot. Very "Manhattany", very cool.

I'll follow the crowd in SF to find you people...

According to the web site, the suite includes, "two 4-inch Sony TVs with premium channels".

You'd think a room like that would have something significantly larger than a 4 inch TV... :)

Hopefully no one takes a header off the 16th floor balcony.

Hey, Brad...I'm not sure what time we're gonna get there next week. It all depends on whether Jon's VW van breaks down again. I sure hope Bob doesn't insist on bringing the dogs this time. It was really cramped last time, and one of the puppies pee'd on my sleeping bag.

Brad -- I just took a virtual tour of the Bolero Penthouse Suite. The hotel could certainly find someone here on Active Rain to produce a more stunning visual portrayal of the suite for its website -- what do you think?

You know some of those profile photos are at least 5 years old. Some maybe 10 or 15...nah, nobody would use a photo that old...would they? I actually think it's a pretty cool idea.

Agreed, the Virtual Tour of the "Crib" left a lot to be desired. We'll show them a couple of YOUR AR videos, that should get us some side business till those Buyers of yours come around! lol~

You might be in the minority there :-) Now if it was Beer for Bloggers or Will Blog For Beer or Need Beer To Blog... Actually, I attended last year and will again this year (I am a big Zillow fan :-) and things got loud but it sure was fun and I still use the glasses from the event to this very day. Sorry you won't be there but there is always next year or perhaps you could try to attend the Inman gathering that they will have in New York.

I attended Zillow's "Beer with Bloggers" at Inman NYC. It was great! Wonderful chance to meet other bloggers in a relaxing, fun environment.

I never really thought of it as unprofessional. It was, after all, a gathering of bloggers, with beer.

The Connect SF Beer with Bloggers is near the top of my "must attend" side events.

Lisa - what's suppose to be professional about a party called "Beer For Bloggers?" It's a party and some social netwotking in person with others, it's not a panel or part of the conference. haha. Yes, you will be hearing and reading all about it I'm sure. You should join us!! I'm sure Zillow will have soda for Bloggers too! :-))

Well it's great to be back home! What an event! The information, the people, the technology, the networking, it was all very much worth the effrt it took in getting there. If you don't attend these events in your area, or this one in the future, you're just plain CRAZY! :-)

Brad - I couldn't agree more..I have been "Yelping" and I am so excited to Twitter soon! I am defiinitely in for NY. Not only did I meet wonderful people and put names with faces but I garnered a few incredible tools that will distinguish me from my compitition and give my clients a little edge in this most interesting marketplace.
