Who is your favorite loan officer and why do you refer them?

By
Mortgage and Lending with M & T Bank

I speak with many loan officers who complain that they are having trouble getting referrals from real estate agents. I have been telling them that they may not have any to give and that they should seek to build a relationship with them.

I tell them a good work ethic, consistent visits and performance, a positive attitude are all things that will help them earn a referral. I also ask them what they see in people that they refer. What qualities are they seeking?

Here are my questions to the many Realtors that post here....

Who is your favoriite loan officer to refer, and what did they do to earn your business?

I am looking frward to your answers. We may develop a better loan officer in the process.

Please share.

Well John what do I look for in a Loan Officer, responsiveness, contacting my client immediately and giving me feedback.  Someone who keeps me informed of the available programs, someone who knows how to build and maintain a relationship, the type of person I see not just when business is slow.

I think you qualify.

My favorite Loan Office is Mark Flanders. He is willing to be seen in public with me, and he's a really great dancer!

Ones that will provide a little education instead of just pounding a program down your throat.  No Salesmen.

Thank you for your feedback. When it comes to education, are you looking for broad based program info or specifics as they apply to your side of the business.
