My firm is working on a project we're calling Real Estate Coaching 2.0.
We believe real estate coaching needs to be more efficient and less costly. There are alternatives to slogging over to the training center in the morning, or paying $500-1,000 per month for a personal coach. We have been coaching real estate professionals on Web 2.0 and internet marketing for over a year based on interactive webinars, and we see the benefits:
  • Easy to participate, logon to training sessions from home or office
  • Easy to record webinar for future playback
  • Scalable to a national user base
We’re pleased to announce a new program based on a series of workshops we’ve been presenting over the spring: the Social Media Marketing webinar series. We invite you to check it out free this week (July 14-21) at http://domusconsultinggroup.com/register

Patrick, While I believe there is a need for your type of services for some agents, I am a Business coach who does have a hefty monthly fee for my customized and individualized coaching. There all kinds of coaching programs and all kinds of people to attract to those programs. I am also a full time agent so I walk my talk. I am in the trenches going through what agents go through on a daily basis.

I wish you much success with your program. Web 2.0 is fascinating and filled with endless possibilities! Katerina

Patrick, congratulations on your new endeavor, sounds exciting. I was coached my first 3 years in the business. It gave me to tools to establish a successfull business model up front, by putting the correct systems in place. Systems change and grow like we do and web 2.0 is definately a hugh shift in that aspect. I'll check out some of your seminars.

Patrick, The Realtor business model is changing rapidly and most agents aren't prepared. You are embracing 1:1 Marketing and tailoring the experience based on what the agent needs. I applaud your efforts and wish you the best as you grow your business.

Looks like a good idea. What week are the free trial? It seemed a little confusing on the dates.

Good thought....Sooo many agents don't know what they don't know....don't know short sales, commerical, and the best thing if they aren't going to learn is to refer it and not make the whole industry look like they don't know what they are doing.

Hey Pat,

Great to see you blogging here.  I followed the twitter link (more evidence of your sharp eye for the leading edge.  You saw "the twitter advantage" before anyone else!)

See you next week in SF.

Be blessed,

Matt

PATRICK - This is the right business for the right time.  One of the places that agents are cutting back on is coaching in the current market.  I love the idea of being able to train "on demand" by listening to webinars whenever you want to.  I'll definitely check out your program.

"Most agents aren't prepared" is a HUGE understatement. Most agents are totally clueless about anything past web 1.0.

The interesting part is that the ones who need coaching the most are the ones that will never do it.

Comment can you start these things earlier in the central time zones. Our days get busy by 10 am when you guys are just getting started. Its good to have it when you have the time. Is there also going to be interaction between teacher and pupil. Report Cards?

Patrick, it was great meeting you at REtechSouth.  You did nothing to disuade me from thinking you are well ahead of the curve.  I just completed six months of coaching that I wish I had done a couple of years ago... and I will be needing something more like tech coaching.

I think the program you are rolling out is certainly fitting a need... but why are you starting it when I'll be at Inman?  Maybe I'll ask you there...

Thank you Lane, I'm a fan of your blogs and Diamond Dwellings as well. Good advice, I think we will start the workshops after Inman on the week of July 28.

I am a huge fan of the training team Pat Kitano and Kevin Boer of domusconsultinggroup I have been coached by many trainers and found the personal -hands -on, small -group approach worked for me. Then I could go over the notes and homework in my own time. In other words...if I have to eat the elephant...let it be a bite at a time! I love to blog. I had no problem there. Yet I needed guidance and simple training on things that I had no clue about. I also needed to grow up and I got rid of my stagnant website that I paid 4000. for 4 years ago and 59.95 per month to hold up in outer space. I have my blog www.teamatthebeach.com. Its the same name but its all my blogging stuff, fresh and local. Its like fresh vs canned. These guys are on a road in the stars and they are very generous of spirit and time, in my opinion and experience. Come on into our rocket to space and we own our seats there...we don't rent them! Love and blessings to all.

Hi Pat - I can think of a few well-known coaches in real estate blogging or websites, but no one has really tied it all together into an online presence package. You've offered some great insights on TransparentRE, and I'll be tuning in on Wednesday to hear what you have to say. Beyond real estate, I could see this growing into 'online marketing and reputation management for small businesses' -- with a virtually endless supply of potential clients.

Hi Pat,

It's exciting to see Domus grow in this direction - really a logical next step based on the success you've had to date and how you bring your clients along.  Those of us who have been with you and Kevin know that a program like this makes perfect sense because we've already been doing it - with success!  I have to say I've always loved the interaction of our Monday morning Homescopes meetings for the last 11 months; something new is always learned, and fun!  Also, the type of networking, rather, relationship building, that can occur in small webinars is very rewarding on both a business and personal level.  I'm busier and having more fun than ever with my growing business.  Thank you, and onward!

Thanks Lynne, John and Marian... we believe the idea of creating a web 2.0-fueled education/coaching forum is more important than the coaching itself. We're pretty excited about where this is headed.
