Special offer

Are you kidding me?

By
Real Estate Agent with Villa Sotheby's International Realty

I received a phone call from an agent offering me an amount for a property that I had listed not long ago. Her clients sold their house and they could now put a non-contingent offer in on the property of their dreams

I took this figure to my client (much lower than hoped for) and explained that due to the state of the market she should take it and not look back. My client wanted to be sure this was in fact a real offer.

I called the agent back to c.m.a. and restated the offer she called me with the night before.

All of the sudden, she wasn't sure...."let me call my clent just to double check" (What??). O.K. I say, let me know asapl

I get a call 2 days later saying "my client now wants to offer $25K less than what I just called you with.

Here is my beef.......ALL OF YOU SO CALLED AGENTS JUST STOP IT!!!!!! IF YOU ARE CALLING WITH AN OFFER, EVEN IF IT IS $1 GIVE ME THE REAL DEAL!!!!!

I am so sick to death of all you blood suckers who think you can bleed dry all the decent and good people of the world just because you think you can. There are decent good people out there that didn't screw anyone and did not over extend themselves but just want out. Give them a break! Offer a fair price for a great property.

Blood suckers and bottom dwellers get OUT!!!!

Thank you, now I feel better.

I want San Marcos real estate back to where it should be.......

All you so-called "professional" real estate agents, lets get together and say no more!

My suggestion is that unless the offer is in writing and in your hand do not discuss it with your seller.  I may alert them that a low verbal has been mentioned to me but until it's written it is not real.

Thanks Dan,

I learned a hard lesson. I don't play those kind of games but unfortunately most do. I definetly will not be going down that road again.
