Neighborhood in Aventura Has New Red Light Camera "Spies"

The types of spies you'll find in the South Florida neighborhood of Aventura are actually there to make our streetsAventura Neighborhood Red Light Cameras safer. I discovered these new "spies" recently as I was out and about showing Aventura properties to an out of town buyer.

Noticed New Cameras While Showing Aventura Properties

These red light cameras were recently added at the corner of Biscayne Boulevard and Aventura Boulevard as well as Country Club Drive and Aventura Boulevard. South Florida motorist who are photographed running red lights at these intersections will be mailed citations and fined.

Obey the Law When Driving Around in South Florida Neighborhoods

So the next time you're tooling around in Aventura, Hallandale, Hollywood, or Golden Beach, be sure to observe the traffic signals carefully or risk receiving a reminder in the mail why you failed to notice those newly installed red light cameras in the neighborhoods of Aventura.

Helping you stay safe and drive with care in South Florida!

I'm from Ventura on the other coast and we had more red light cameras, per capita, than any other American city for awhile.  They change driving habits.  Most people are more likely to floor it for a yellow light than risk not being in the intersection before it changes to red.

They have not installed those in my little town of Beaufort yet, but we did have those in Atlanta before I left to move to the coast.  They really do make you slow down and think when approaching an intersection that has the cameras.  Also, it works well in areas that have grown in populatioin rapidly where there are not enough police officers to enforce the traffic laws.  Technology is growing everywhere, in all arenas...I guess we will have to see what they come up with next....

Joe:

I 100% agree that it will change driving habits and I think South Florida drivers really need to. Though the Aventura Police have always been known to be pretty strict...

I even noticed today there is now a third intersection having these cameras installed and I guess in the long run it will be a safer place to live & drive but I am sure most of our South Florida City Governments will be watching closely the cameras success and/or failures. There will sure be many more to come throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.
