I have used Urchin and now Google Analytics for years and they have one of the best solutions in the industry.  If you are not using GA and integrating it with your Google Adwords purchases you are missing out on understanding your website.

Where would you place the Google snippet for:
AR Blog:  Home page in Blog Description?
Outside Blog?

AJ,

I have not tried to add the code to my AR Profile but in theory you could add it to the your blog description under my settings (like you would for the customizer).  I would also created 1 profile in Google Analytics for your activerain account and another for your personal website.

James, I have added the snippet to AR/Settings/blog desc.  Will this snippet look at traffic to each posts? I figured out how to revew the stats. MyAccount => select Analytics.  AJ.

I love it. We've had GA for over a year now and it's helped us see the number of visitors and what "key" words they are using, which helps us modify our efforts for higher web ranking.

Matthew, Sorry for the confusion, GA stands for Google Analytics.

AJ, this will provide you with statistics for any page where your blog profile is being displayed.  I have added the code to my site also so if you have any questions let me know and I will try and follow along with you.  Also  give is a week and check back so that way Google Analytics has a chance to collect some data and give you some numbers that you can actually use.

James - Thanks for the informative vid. I have been using GA for a while now and am not sure I understand all of the features yet. I am still exploring it. Any new information on it is always helpful. Thanks for sharing. Bob Hammerstein

Thanks for sharing our Google Analytics video guys!

Fellow Trulians, Kyle and Alejandro, had a great time shooting it with Brett and Rob.

Joan,

Google Analytics will give you greater depth of information from the results.  I also find that Google Analytics is fairly easy to use.

Thanks for the Video.  Hope it helps others try out Google Analytics.

I just love, love, love, my Google Analytics.  First used it on my www.JudyPete.com site and now on my new Blog, www.MainLinePaToday.com.  Also, try out Google Docs when you sign up for a Google Account.  It's the perfect place to draft your posts and you have a safe copy "just in case" :-)

Trying to add a new GA tracking account to my Postlets to track a listing, but so far no success.  Anyone used GA to track Postlets?

Another excellent tool provided by Google.  The Google 411 tool is way cool too.

Thanks for the feedback and compliments on Google Analytics everyone.  I had fun creating the video with the Trulia team and enjoyed reading what you all had to say.

I have been using it on my blog for over a year now and it gives you loads of information. I like to see where geographically my visitors are coming from but also gives you info like browser they are using, browser/os combination, screen resolution(good for determining how wide your template should be), type of connection(cable, dsl, or dial-up. Pay attention if you have a lot of video).
