Rich...
It's always nice to know that there are more avenues for content available. So far, so good, and I am constructing more consumer oriented posts now.
Rich, I love the new localism. Thanks for all the work you guys do. I will be adding lots of content to localism as I always have. Your hard work is finally paying off.
I post a lot to localism and don't see how I'm not a Top Neighbor, but I assume things will get worked out. I'll continue to blog and do more market updates, but I prefer community stuff like the next art show, the next city sponsored activity, the next food drive, and those things instead of always talking numbers...
Hey Rich, as the current King of Localism, ( my title, not yours) I have to say I am pleased with the temporary rise to the top...All I know is that if I post, I stay on Google...Thanks
Rich- Thanks, you got me to stop procrastinating and play with the numbers. My half-year market stats are now posted.
Rich, I think that's a GREAT idea. In the past I have had several localism post that were featured but you just quietly got extra points. That's okay but it is nice to get that extra pat on the back for a job well done.
I've got a lot of market reports to reconfigure so they display correctly in the narrower confines of Localism. What is the width of the content column and maximum photo size we can use in our posts?
Rich- I think this is a great idea to highlight great market reports. There are some great ones like Margaret Woda's. I don't like to do graphs and so mine tend to be more in the story like format. To each his own, whatever works! It's working for us:)
Rich- any way you could post thost 'featured' market report here? those could always use more improvement.. At least on my blog...(LOL)
Katrina in Tampa Bay, FL
Thanks for the post. It is a great idea. I will check out the featured posts.
Rich,
You better be nice or I'll write a post about you. Maybe I'll add you to my market reports or should I post your photo all over it...nah...I don't want to scare away the consumer.
On the other hand..if I mention the word Rich then maybe they think if they call me I'll make them some money.
Send me some King Crab in season...isn't it Dec-Feb?
Rich - I have been focusing on improving my blog for localism as well, and appreciate that they are now featured.
Rich, thanks for giving me Neal's points for July, they were greatly appreciated.
As for my market reports, I am trying to get a little more pizzazz to them. One thing that I lack is creativity. I can rant with the best, and be technical, but the creative sometimes lack.
I hear that commenting on here gets extra points...Hello...do I get them now
Jeremy: It doesn't have to be 'creative' per se... My past market reports aren't very flashy or sophisticated. But they reveal a bit of my personality, and some sense of the uniqueness of my market. Most of my local content articles read like an informal conversation over coffee.
Rich, I'm still very green at this and really enjoyed reading about the launch of the marketing report group. I'm hoping to get my feet wet w/it this week. I've done them for years the "old fashioned way" on paper. This will be fun. Thanks for your patience with us!
Guess I will have to learn from Neal....haven't ever written one so can't say they need any help...... LOL :) How did Jeremy get Neals points :(
Wow you guys are looking like an organization with nearly 100,000 members. It just keeps getting better every day.
OK - thanks for steering us that way for a few pointers.
Yeah, I gotcha Brad...but what you don't realize is that I don't drink coffee...and so therefore I don't talk over it either...so I gotta think through the things and try to make them interesting instead of just some boring blah blah blah...
