Knowledge is the Power for Your Freedom to a Worry Free Home!

You should write often

Writing often is not just good for your blog, it's really a absolute must for your bloging success. If you post to your blog less than once a day, is just like abandoning all of the potential your little ol blog has.

Being sure you are always, updating your blog on a very regular is a very key thing to do. This needs to be done for two major reason's when using blogging to put your name out there for folk's to find. Search engine's like google, to give ya juice. There is the fact that your readers are always looking for new and fresh content to read. If they don't get it from you, then there is always someone else that will do it. Search engines will also be looking for new and fresh written content on your blog. When you give it to them, they will visit your blog alot more often. This will result in your blog being and geting searched alot more regularly, and is going to carry alot more weight with all the search engines when they trust your ever changing blog content.

My the search engines be with you!

Hey Dale, do you know if there are any statistics as to how often you have to post to "maintain" the way you show up to the search engines?  Sometimes I just don't have the time or the interest.  I am not as interested personally in the points as I am in sharing useful (sometimes uselessly funny I'll admit) content.  I just can't blog for the sake of blogging-----I feel like the average consumer is smart enough to see that stuff for what it is.

Dale,

Obviously I try to stay on top of it. As I sit here at 10:30pm wanting to go to bed. Sometimes we just get busy but, with AR, I feel I have to tend to it.

@Charles- I used to see the number three times a week, but recently I saw that you have to post at least once a day. That can be tiring, particularly since I do not like to post the same article to each site.

@Dale- Dale, I just wanted to say that I have appreciated your blog posts, and it is nice to see this series. May the search engines always find you (but I already know that they do- Google had this post showing up under home inspectors yesterday).

You hit the nail on the head with the "Write Often" part, Dale.  I find that when I get out of the habit of writing and commenting here, it takes a lot of inertia to get back into it.

By the way - where'd you get that nifty translator widget?

This is a great series Dale, and you definitely are a giving person when it comes to comment and advice.  But one blog a day?  I can't think of something to blog about that often.  When I do blog I hope I have passion & enjoy my subject, as you suggested in #1, though!  : )
