Are you an IREA yet? What is an IREA? Is there really such a thing?

Ok, so a funny thing is starting to happen.  I've been writing on blogs for a few months and have either talked personally with many of you or by email.  It's been quite a lot of fun.  More importantly, I have helped a bunch of you understand a little more about Internet Lead Capture and Conversion. 

Just a quick recap of where we are at with our Internet program.  Our Real Estate Comany, Tropical Realty of Suntree is located in Melbourne Florida, many would agree one of the worst Real Estate Markets in the country right now.  Our entire marketing budget and plan utlizes the Internet.  Over the past few months we have grown from 14 Agents to 24 Agents to keep up with our lead flow.  Last year we closed 193 transaction over the Internet.  This year we are on track to close over 250. I guess I could go on and on and these numbers only include one of our offices...we have two.  The other office is doing just as good this year (It's second full year using our 100MPH Marketing system).  

A little while back I threw out the term IREA.  This stands for Internet Real Estate Agent.  Currently I'm in the middle of writing a book/training manual on how to become an IREA.  However, back to the funny thing that is happening, I am having a ton of people write me on how to become an IREA.  That wasn't something I was planning on pursuing, but it seems that there really is a need in our industry to really learn how to become an IREA.  With that said, I have been talking with one of the larger Real Estate Schools about turning this into a designation.  Before I would do something like that, I would like the AR communiities feedback on whether on not they thought I should pursue this concept. 

Actually, I will pursue it either way, even if it's just part of my eHomes Realty Network or my 100MPH Marketing System.  If you could though, please drop me a quick note or comment on whether you would be interested in the idea.  I know that if anyone understands the value of the Internet in this business, it's the members of Active Rain!
