Get out there and fail!

Simple yet not easy.

For those of you who don't know me personally, I am a professional success coach coaching real estate agents and people in sales for the past 15 years and my true passion and hobby is professional level International Latin Ballroom Dancing since forever.  I absolutely love it! Most recently, the years of rotating the hip joints have slowed me down.  Slowing down is not in my vocabulary so I went on a quest to find another sport I could get passionate about, that would take me well into old age, something I could do year round and be outside with nature.

I just love Tiger Woods and he is leaving such a legacy to the world.  So I decided to take up the game of golf.

Tiger makes it looks so easy.  NOT!!! For those of you who have taken up this sport know all too well when I say, ‘get out there and fail.'  Yet, failing just isn't in my repertoire.  I'm used to winning, or getting to the win quickly.

With this sport there is no such thing.  I have discovered it is a sport of failure.

Learning to play golf has humbled me and I had an epiphany... I realized the resistance I had to failing.  Once I made it OK to fail, and that failure is not bad it's directional, from my good friend Jim Byrnes, I started to enjoy the sport and the beautiful surroundings of nature around me and began playing a better game.

I'm now getting comfortable with my new relationship with the word "fail" and I'm really enjoying the game.  You can have terrible 17 holes and that one good one will keep you coming back.

You can only really enjoy life and be successful in anything when you make it OK to fail.
