I get this question a lot, "Who are home managers, and why should I use them?"

The short answer:

There are discerning individuals looking to rent high-end homes; they have high-end furniture, but can't seem to find upscale accommodations to rent.  These people are ideal home managers.

By placing a Home manager into a luxurious but vacant home, the property flourishes with warmth, personality and life, bringing emotion back into the purchasing equation.

Home managers get their needs met by living in high-end homes and enjoying the lifestyle.

Homeowners get a fully staged house at a fraction of the cost.

Realtors experience faster closings, higher commissions and less hassle all the way around.

Everybody wins.

The long answer:

Why are home managed homes superior to vacant homes?

Well, it is an intangible thing...Market analysts say that owners of mansions, upscale condos and luxury high-rises are struggling to sell as vacant properties and need that "lived in" look.  It's hard to put a finger on why.  For some reason there is a mysterious spark of life in occupied homes.  That life attracts people and makes them feel at home in the space.  It makes them want to stay.  Indefinitely.  It turns browsers into buyers.

"A home looks and feels much more beautiful with nice things in it, furniture and personal things, and someone living there," said Sukie Fee, president of SeaCliff Realty Home in Huntington Beach. "It's a very subtle, almost subliminal thing."

Traditional staging works.  The homes look great, but they are still obviously unoccupied.  Home managed homes give homeowners and builders the slight edge they need in a competitive market.

And remember: when you engage Showhomes to stage your home, you're not just paying for 'furniture rental' or vignettes and 'impact rooms'.  You are paying for an entire suite of services including interior design, home manager screening, professional photography and marketing.

We always talk about the fact that we add value to vacant homes, but the amazing thing is this: our services are also provided at a suprisingly low cost.  The price you pay for our staging - if you use a home manager - is always a fraction of what other stagers charge for traditional and partial staging.

Why list a vacant house when you can sell a Showhome?
