Tacoma WA and surrounding cities are waking up to the fact that public skateparks are a necessary part of the local community. These parks bring value to the community. Skaters will always find a place to skate, thanks to these parks, many will not be on our streets and now will be much safer.
Skateparks are for everyone -- there's no rule saying that you have to go fast or skate vertical, just have fun. So grab your board, bike or in-line skates and head out to one of the local skateparks.

Skatepark at Stewart Heights Park

12,000 square feet
This facility features ramps, stairs, quarter and half pipes, a bench, half pyramid and fun box withplanter and grind rail. The wood based ramp frames are covered with Skatelite Pro material.

Skatepark at Norpoint

3,750 square feet
This skatepark features concrete ramps, spine, coping and Bauer box.

Skatepark at Heidelberg Davis Park
4500 South 19th Street
8,000 square feet
This skatepark features a half pipe, quarter pipes, three sided and four sided pyramids, a trick ramp, manual pad and a flat rail. This park is a mixture of concrete and steel ramps.

Lakewood Skate Park -It is at the intersection of Bridgeport and Steilacom Blvd.

We are getting a world class skatepark also. Can't wait to see the benefits. When I lived in Saint John, Michigan, I was there when they received their skateboard park before I moved to CANADA. The KIDS LOVE IT!!! And it gave them something contructive to do. I just did a blog on the coming of the Saint John Skateboard. Check it out.
