I need your input. I got a call today from a Lender I use on a regular basis. He said he wanted to give me the heads up on one of the new Fannie Mae - Freddie Mac guidelines for first time home buyers. He told me that effective in the near future new home buyers wanting to finance FHA will be required to go through a First Time Home Buyers class and will receive a certificate of completion. He said they will not be able to go into a binding agreement unless this class has been completed. He is suppost to get the remaining information tomorrow and is suppost to let me know. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. In my area this course as we know right now will be taught through an independent agency here locally which in my  has red flags all over it! Anything like this been heard of in your areas? If so please give me details. I would hope this is just one of those thoughts thrown out in a meeting that simply turns into an after thought!

I am a lender in az and for some DPA programs we need clients to do this, we have them do it online. This is not a big deal and will be useful for the homeowner
