Staging Diva Home Stager Locator Service Nets 43 staging projects in first month

I created the Staging Diva Home Stager Locator Service in February to make it easier for homeowners and realtors to find home stagers for projects in their area. Once they complete the simple online form to communicate the needs of their project, I advertise the staging project on The Business of Home Staging and invite Staging Diva Graduates to apply to be referred for that lead.

Within a month, with no advertising other than my advertising post about this new service on Active Rain, I've been able to find 43 staging projects for Staging Diva Graduates in:

  • Texas
  • Washington
  • New Hampshire
  • Florida
  • New York
  • Nevada
  • Virginia
  • Missouri
  • California
  • Maryland
  • Utah
  • Minnesota
  • Alabama
  • Manitoba
  • Alberta
  • British Columbia
  • Ontario
  • Quebec
  • Newfoundland
I have no idea how many of these were from Active Rain members as I also get traffic from my two sites, www.stagingdiva.com and www.sixelements.com.

The Home Stager Locator Service is currently offered FREE to homeowners and realtors, while home stagers who actually get work out of the lead pay my company a referral fee. I do not charge referral fee unless the home stagers gets work so that it costs Staging Diva Graduates nothing to participate and they gain valuable experience talking with real prospects about what they can do for them. 

This has been a hugely time consuming undertaking but it does meet the need of putting homeowners and agents in touch with, sometimes hard to find, home stagers who may be right in their own backyard!

This Home Stager Locator service does not replace the Staging Diva Directory of Home Stagers, which currently profiles 57 home stagers spread across almost every US state and Canadian province.

Debra that was a great project to undertake and one that  should be extremely useful to both consumer and realtors.  I hope it will end up generating many leads for you business.

Hi Kathleen,

New home staging jobs are posted almost daily at The Business Of Home Staging which is the blog I created for home stagers and aspiring home stagers.

If you don't want to have to check - in all the time, you can sign up for the FREE notification service which will email you (at most) once every 24 hours. It will give you the headline and first couple of sentences from any blog post I've made in that 24 hour period. Some of the posts will be about home staging jobs, others will be my articles related to the business of home staging. If there are no new posts that day, you won't get an emai.

I always headline the staging job posts with the name of the city/area, that way you can quickly scan and see if there are any job posted near you.

In the left menu bar you'll see a green sign up box to subscribe to the blog and have summaries emailed to you every 24 hours. 

There are currently 87 "Home Staging Help Wanted" posts. You can read all of them by choosing that category further down the left menu bar. If the job is more than a week or two old, however, it's probably already been filled.

You know Debra, one of my best friends lives in Hollywood California...if you post a job for there...can I apply for it? The right job would at least pay the refural fee and flight! (This diva loves to travel!) NyC would be another I'd watch for...it's my favorite city but need an excuse to go.

Hi Dane, That's an excellent question! Why not write off your travel to places you want to go to by turning it into a business trip for a staging project!

As a Graduate of The Staging Diva Training Program, you can apply for any of the home staging jobs I advertise. There are currently 97 home staging jobs that have been posted. Each one has a description of the project with as much information as I know about it. Usually that includes:

  • location
  • size of property
  • whether it's already furnished or vacant
  • list price range
  • whether it's already on the market and if not, when it will be listed

 

I've invested considerable time and thousands of dollars in creating this service for my graduates. However, it's free to homeowners and realtors to participate in the referral service and I ONLY charge my Graduates a referral fee IF they actually get paid work out of the lead I give them. In other words, it costs you nothing to participate because you're getting practice dealing with a real prospect and if you get hired, you're paying me a nominal amount out of the proceeds of a job you wouldn't have had otherwise.
