I don't consider myself an environmentalist,  but lately I have been challenged to do things in a more eco-friendly way.  We've been recycling for years and I recently began using housecleaning products that are friendlier to the environment and my family.  I know there is more I can do on a personal level and now I am turning my attention to my businesses.  I really want to transition my REVA practice and other businesses into paperless ones.  Paper just takes up too much space that I could use for other things.  There would be less money spent on toner/ink and paper, I wouldn't have to recycle the paper not used, not to mention saving a few trees.  Do you think this is possible, especially in the real estate world (which to me ranks right up there with lawyers in the documents that are generated)?

I am printing my receipts to PDF for online transactions and sending my clients to Freshbooks.com for invoicing, but I know that I could do much more.

If your real estate business is paperless or mostly paperless, what are some of the systems you have in place to achieve this?

Doris,

I too want to try to be better-green....I am just a touchy feely person and love the paper back-up......I am trying though.

A big help is to use a service that converts all of your incoming faxes to emails.  This way you only print the ones where you really have to have a hardcopy.  All of your faxes are saved on your computer.  I organize all of my incoming faxes by setting up folders for each matter and saving the emails in the appropriate folders.

Hi Doris- Ahhh Paperless, that concept is so dear to my heart, although I just can;'t get there.  Have you checked out Beth Young (go to the search button).  She is in charge of the Sure Close Program....a great Paperless Online Transaction Management Program :)  I was starting to use it quite a bit until our Title Company was bought out by someone else.

Welcomte to the e-PRO Group.  Many times there are some good tech Posts on our dashboard....just go into the group....Beth actually has a new Post out.
