I helped a couple sell their Wisconsin home this spring. They were selling in the worst market in a long, long time. On top of that, when they listed their home we had the worst winter in Wisconsin History. Spring proved to be about the same.

We met April through the Internet. We had seen an advertisement for a free house appraisal and reluctantly signed up for the appraisal. We really only wanted a second opinion on the price of our house, since we had a contract with another real estate agent, but had very little buyer activity. Her confidence in her ability to sell our house and her excellent knowledge of real estate as well as new construction issues sold us. We chose her over two very well qualified real estate agents.
April worked seven days a week to try and sell our house. She advertised our house right away and she did several open houses which started to bring prospective buyers to look. She made agents, not only with her company, but other real estate agencies, aware of our house and pointed out the positives of our house to them to generate traffic. She continuously scanned the MLS for new listings to make sure that we were marketing the house correctly, especially for price. She politely noted items in our house that needed to be taken care of, so the house would show well to buyers.
In a tight market, in the middle of one of the worst winters in Wisconsin history, April was able to sell our house in leess thatn 90 days. She managed a contentious period of offers and counter offers with finesse, allowing us to fell that we indeed got the best offer we could.
