blueberriesEveryone knows that Pungo is the place to go strawberry picking in the spring, but did you know it's also the place to go for blueberries in the summer?

Pungo Blueberries is a large blueberry farm featuring lots of bushes with lots and lots of blueberries!

Blueberry picking is great fun and kids love it.  Their fingers are the perfect size for picking and eating!  Since Pungo Blueberries does not use pesticides, the blueberries are safe to eat off the bush.  You can bring your own containers for picking or they will provide you with buckets.

Blueberry picking is much easier on the back than straberry picking as it doesn't involve constant bending over.

Blueberries keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator and 2 years in the freezer!

With the going grocery store price of $3.99/container, picking blueberries is a wise financial choice as well.  We picked 2 large bags full of blueberries for $14.00.  The grocery store price for this amount would have been over $60!  Pungo Blueberries also has blueberry bushes for sale along with jams, blackberries and other goodies.

Pungo Blueberries is open 7am - 7pm, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  They are located at 3477 Muddy Creek Rd. in Virginia Beach.  Their phone number is:  757-721-7434.  Click here to view a map and directions.
