TITAN REAL ESTATE AGENT - MEDUSA

knew the importance of eye contact

I am not sure if I could be in real estate without my eyes.  I know of many miracles performed by those with limited or no vision, and I tremendously respect these individuals.  But, what would I do as a real estate professional without my eyes?   I need my eyes to communicate and to hear what people are NOT saying.  Even those who smile and speak may not always be communicating what their eyes are saying.

LISTEN TO THE WHOLE PERSON. Pay close attention with with your eyes, picking up all nuances of body language.  While making eye contact (not staring), try to tune into your  personal polygraph to sense whether someone is sincere or not.  At open houses  ask questions and try to make eye contact to draw the truth out of them.  Most people are polite and say only what they think you want to hear.  Try to reassure people with your eyes.  Let them know by the look in your eyes that you are just looking for honest feedback.  If they do not like the property or just came from a better house for less money, they will see that they will not be turned to stone.

Disclaimer:  The person in the picture is not me, however, I know what is like to have a bad hair day.

Love the picture!  My daughter dressed up as Medusa for Latin club her senior year of high school for a competition and ended up lettering in Latin because of it.

I do agree about the eyes.  I am fairly good at reading people and it is of course with my eyes that I do that.

Nice post, very true and important to remember in all aspects of the kind of sales we do. When you learn to read people's body language you gain a strong upper hand in learning how to communicate better.

Thank you Marchel and Jacob for commenting. I think body language is the tell-all of some things.  When my  husband, Chris, comes in late he goes right to sleep and closes his eyes!  :)  Hmmmm.....

Thank you again!  Best wishes and continued success!
