Clip Art For Your Blogs and Websites- A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words and has been proven time and time again to be more effective in getting people interested, stay longer and choose to take action when on your blog or your website. Most people are very visual. Stimulate their visual senses with tasteful images or humorous ones.

I use ICLIPART for all the images except for the photos that I take myself. What I like the best is I can go to just this one place and get all the clip art I need for any subject.

There are over 7 million images you can use for business and commercial purposes. Their terms of use specifically state that you can use their images on your business websites and blogs. You can not use it for any illegal purposes.

So here we will share some of the variety of what they have to offer. Go and try out the clip art site out by clicking here. You can even try a few images for free so you can experience how easy it is to download images.

They just added on a new download choice, you can now ( on most of the images) choose the size you want to download. For AR blogs the medium size works just fine. You will also want to choose to download your images as jgp files.

If you are looking for those cool 'object' images, these are very clear photographs against a white background. This is a new addition to ICLIPART. Here are some examples of objects that are perfect for AR blogs. This is just the beginning of what you can use Clipart for. We use it in our homeschool lessons, newsletters and emails.

I've been an iclipart subscriber for awhile. I use them, istockphoto and my own photographs and it seems to cover just about everything I need.

This is great - I've always used istock.com for graphics but these look great too! Are you sure you don't have stock in iclipart?

Pam- I used to use Microsoft Clip art until I read their terms of use! They specifically say that you can only use their clip art for not for profit and personal use. NO business use. No Commercial use. Now I read every term of use. I like that this site lets you and wants you to use it for your business. They encourage it.

Denise- Isn't it easy to use? I love how fast you can download the photos and also how you can choose the sizes so you don't have to resize when adding to the AR blog!

Those are some nice samples - I know what you mean about a picture inspiring a post. I have so many post I want to make... but so little time.

I joined Iclipart last week, and have not written a post without a picture since. It is very easy to use. I may go back now, with some experience and look again at the free sites to see if I can find appropriate pictures.

But it has been very easy to find an appropriate picture with this program. Do you know if they keep adding artwork?

Adam- Yes, they have some great serious stuff too. I just posted the fun stuff. But they have really great clip art of all kinds. I love their new object photos. Those are great for posts. They keep adding on new clip art every day too.

Richard- They add new art every day. When you go to your home page on the site, there is a tab that says, view our newest clip art images. There are so many great new object images, I love those photos against the white backdrops. And it is easy to just go to one place and be able to get it all!

LaShawn- I used to use IStock a while back. But at $1 a pop, I would go broke with as many images as I use, I like the one time fee for unlimited images. I use a lot of them. I also use my own photos. Depends on the subject.

Hi Kat, I also like the www.istock.com photo's; although they do cost some money. I usually get them for $1.00 or so for each. I was reviewing my blog the other day and my very first post was all in bold and no pictures or breaks in the verbiage. Luckily, I've gotten a bit better but still usually only do one picture. I need to graduate up and take some risks!

This is aweseome. Thank you so much for sharing this with everyone. I am still trying to get this blog thing down so I appreciate all the tips I can get. Until now, I would just use pictures that I took myself or ones that someone else gave me because I didn't want to infringe on any copyright laws. This will be a huge help!

Katerina - You just don't know how helpful this is. I can't thank you enough. I have asked several time for suggestions of this type and the best advice I got were sites that charge $1 per image. Pretty expensive if a person got serious about blogging. Thanks so much!!

Margaret- There are SO many images on this clip art site. I love how easy they are to download and post and use. Now most of their images you can choose which size to download from small like 100 for avatars, and 200, 400, 600. I love the choices from fun and comical to serious, they have tons of new photo object photos that I love. You can't beat the price either!
