Daytona Beach Real Estate & Community Event Report. By Lisa C. Hill, "THE SMART CHOICE!" |
Coming up next week, July 21-25, 2008, children in grades 4 through 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. can enjoy the Marine Explorer Camp at the Ponce Inlet Marine Science Center. This is going to be a fun-filled week of snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, boating and more. I'm not sure if there are any last minute spaces available, so don't hesitate if you're planning to register your children, grades 4-6, in next week's Marine Explorer Camp. Not only will this be fun, but the children will be learning about Volusia County’s wildlife, habitats, and the importance of preserving our natural resources like, for example, our Sea Turtles since we're now in the Sea Turtle Nesting Season. You might like to Adopt your own personal Sea Turtle Nest!
But back to the Marine Explorer's Camp. If you have children who are a little bit older, grades 6-8 will be having their adventures, August 4-8, 2008, also from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
For more information, or to make your reservations, call (386) 304-5529. The fee for each week is $160. The Ponce Inlet Marine Science Center is located at 100 Lighthouse Drive, Ponce Inlet, FL.
Follow this link for more information about the beautiful city of Ponce Inlet and the 2nd tallest lighthouse in the United States! I think you'll love the beautiful photos of the sand dunes, palm trees, sea oats, and wonderful nature trails.
Last but certainly not least is the next Master Marine Explorer Camp for Marine Explorer Alumni, August 11-14, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This workshop is $180. Students will continue their outdoor activities and some additional outdoor studies.
