Clients VS Children-The Time Management Nightmare for Parents! (edit/delete)

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Greenville Central

After posting this with the word Mom instead of Parents (no offense intended!) I've received a number of messages to create a group for Real Estate for Parents!  Here's the post. I'll be creating the group soon.

I only have one child. 2 1/2 But that's enough to make your world spin. In my previous post this morning regarding eating healthier, I had lots of suggestions of what to cook. Here's my dilemma and I know the same for lot's of you out there: time.

When you're a REALTOR, you do your best not to be reactive. But in the market we're in, it's every man for himself and take what you can get. So you run, you call, you market, you meet, you show, you list, you post you do do do. Then you get to go home to family

And you continue to do do do. Make dinner( or heat one up whichever is easier), clean house, clean baby, chase baby, entertain baby, do a dance for baby (although hubby likes that too), put baby to bed, do laundry, clean house more, plan for tomorrow and maybe sleep hoping you haven't forgotten a walk thru or empty spot in a contract somewhere.

I've received other blogs from single moms. I salute you with all my being. I was raised by a single mom and with a small child now, in this industry, I have absolutely no knowledge of how you do it. But you do. And our children still play soccer, go to girl scouts, have friends and eat macaroni and hotdogs for dinner. But we survive.

I personally would love to start a group for Mom's in the Real Estate business. I don't think you get the kudo's or support you deserve from either family or business and clients. The time management issue is for me a nightmare. Maybe it's easier for some of you. I'd love to hear some of your ideas and share them in a group situation where we can benefit from experience and sharing.

Whatcha think?

Anyone see a sippy cup around here anywhere?

Our business doesn't end at 5pm, or even the weekend.  We are always on duty, and having small children is very hard.  I must say, even teenagers can be a challenge.  It won't always be this way - they do grow up!

Hi Holly- If you are talking about an online group, Activ Reain has a few already....you could redirect people to ones already established......use the search button for groups.  Or if you are talking about a physical group.....a little mommy and me of Real Estate...maybe a co-op of resources for Agents that need a sitter at the last minute for a showing or something.  There could be real value to this one :)  Anyway, I feel for you my daughter is showing today, and she has 5 kids all 13 and under.
