Nancy Pelosi calls President George Bush a total failure.
I usually do not comment about political statements and current news but I could not resist this one. It's kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. The people of the United States give congress even lower ratings than they do President Bush. Granted his approval ratings are very low but congress is worse.
Congress is trying to make this a "lame duck" session for the president but they are lame ducks themselves. We need for congress to act during these financially troubling times but instead they are up to politics as usual. I really think we ought to have term limits for our congressmen and women just like we do for the presidency. If we did some of the pork barrel politics we have today would be easier to control.
The United States of America is still the greatest place in the world to live. We have wonderful freedoms but it could be better. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that would have been funny if it weren't so sad. It said "Democrats and Republicans. Same poop, different piles." I thinks its way past time to put politics aside and do what is best for the American people.
Can that happen in an election year?
What do you think?

Not sure that can happen, the differences are so wide, but I have to agree about the pot calling the kettle black - Pelosi has no business commenting on Bush!
