Trying to sell your home? My Declaration of Value

You may believe you can sell your home on your own. Did you know that there are over 180 tasks of a Realtor?

Do you really want to take on the stress of trying to sell your home? Why? If you hire and experience agent who will handle those phone calls, all the paper work, all the tasks of scheduling inspections, appraisals and so forth?

Is your concerns of hiring a Realtor because you feel they don't deserve the 6% commission? Here is a small clip that I believe you will find interesting.

Jeanette, 180 tasks? Sometimes it seems like 1,080 tasks! In my opinion, most homeowners and potential homeowners would be silly not to hire a REALTOR to help them. Congratulations on finishing up your video for the Week 8 challenge.

Great blog. It's sad that some people believe we are just out to take there money. On our local newspaper blog one guy actually blamed Realtors for the market drop. He claimed it's was because of the of 6% commission. Of course I commented back explaining what comes out of that 6%. No one ever questions a lawyer or a doctor and I feel we are professionals just as they are!

I can't believe how creative everyone was and how we all took a different approach on this one. Congrats to you.... you did a wonderful job. I wish you the best and sorry I won't get a chance to meet you in person at Inman

Jeanette, while I know that all agents don't charge that amount, I still understand that if we choose to be, we can worth every dime of our commission. This just shows how you are separating yourself from the pack and rising to the top. Well done and well said!

Well done. I don't think the average consumer realizes how much has to be done to complete a real estate transaction.

Very nicely done...just wish I had time to sit down with peace and quiet to do a good video...with two toddlers running around, I doubt my clients want to see my kids in the real estate video

Jennifer I have three toddlers 5~3~2. So I know how you feel. My videos are done at night or while they are taking there naps!

I like hlow hyou added up all the tasks as well. lol Its crazy though some deals you feel like youve done 5000 tasks! Keep up the good positive vibes.

This was a great post! I like the 180 task list. I've seen several revisions of this over the years.
