If you are relocating to St Charles County or even the St Louis Market area and are looking for a place to call home that offers real variety and a community that is very unique then this is exactly what you are looking for.  This self contained, short of schools, hometown subdivision came about after the floods of 1993.  There is nothing ordinary about New Town and when you see it you will ready to move in as soon as possible.  New Town is still a work in progress with a complete variety of prices starting in the mid $100,000's and going to the $800,000's and the homes are being built by several well known builders.

New Town is not a golf course community and it is truly not your ordinary community.  It is a very family oriented community with lakes for swimming and fishing (didn't see any boats), walking/jogging trails, amphitheater, parks for the kids to play in or to just sit and enjoy the evening and a soon to be organic farm.  You will really enjoy Main Street where you will find the Town Hall, Post Office, restaurants, stores, businesses, churches, everything that you would find in small town USA even the narrow streets of days gone by.  The community is just a short drive to Hwy. 370 where you can connect with Hwy. 270 or Hwy. 70.

The New Town Community currently has a total of 529 single family homes and 39 condo/villas.  There are currently 68 active single family homes listed and 6 condo/villas listed for sale.  Seeing this is still a work in progress there are a lot of builder spec homes available in the current listings.  So if you were looking for something with a quick turn around this just may be the answer for you. During the first six (6) months of the year there have been 22 single family homes and 2 villas sell.

Keep that in mind if you're shopping for a home. Homes priced correctly and in good condition are selling... and in some cases they're selling quickly.

The average sales price for residential single family properties ending June 30, 2008 was $146,935 and for condo/villa properties was $150,250.  These are some wonderful values and a lot of great amenities for the price and location.

On another note St. Charles MO was one of three cities in St. Charles County MO to be voted, by Money Magazine, one of the Top 100 Best Small Cities to live in.  St. Charles came in at number 82.
