Recently, we had the opportunity to take a refreshing weekend getaway to Milwaukee, Wisconsin!

We stayed at the Hyatt Hotel Downtown - a short walk to Lake Michigan and the Architecturally stunning Art Museum as well as the amazing Discovery Cove!

Along the walk, we saw an eclectic variety of beautiful buildings and happened upon The Bastille Days Festival, which we made a point to stop and enjoy on our way back :)

Here we sampled crepes and stopped at the wine bistro and enjoyed street performers and unusual tricycle races :)

Milwaukee is certainly a fun place to visit with many theatres, restaurants, shopping and sporting events, not to mention the New Harley Davidson Museum which opened the weekend we were there!

Of course, a trip to Wisconsin is not complete without stopping for some fresh cheese (we purchased several varieties) along the way.

If you are looking for a great city to visit  - Milwaukee is certainly fun-filled and offers a variety of attractions for all ages to relate to!
