Often I am fortunate to work with builders that accept my expertise and trust my judgement. Nestings just finished staging the new Model unit for Renaissance on the Thames, a seven-story luxury condominium high-rise on the river in Norwich, Connecticut. It's all about the view here, folks! It's truly stunning and evokes a fabulous lifestyle whether your tastes run to the glam or the earthy. This was my project - and the first big decision was: "What color should I select that will give the Model a "Wow!" factor, and highlight the view?" It had to be bold, and it had to work year-round. The answer is in the RES: Nestings provides high-quality, value-added staging and model home design for Fairfield County and Connecticut.

Julia, Love the orange. You made a very bold choice that works. This will look even more beautiful in the fall. Congratulations on a wonderful staging.

Beautiful contrast, Julie. Let me ask you something...Is orange a current trend in home decor? I went shopping for a couch yesterday and saw one in an upscale store that was the exact burnt orange color of the 23 year old sofa I'm trying to replace! It struck me as funny.

Dianne: YES - burnt orange IS baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack, but maybe not on as large a scale as this living room - this is staging a Model Home. Good luck with your hunt! Julie Kathy & Barbara: The AR forum has provided a lot of strength for me and others in terms of shoring up our expertise. This color will look great with Fall foliage, and warm in the Winter too! I love the color. I might be a bit nervous because it is such a big room, but it is definitely very stylish

Julia, right on! Orange is considered a happy color. I see that you were trying to mimic the lobby color. The orange is a nice contrast to the blues and greens in the view and will be extra special when the fall colors appear. Nice job!

What a great presentation. The new Pottery Barn catalogue front page has the burnt orange on it. You created a wonderful model. Joyce

Love your color choice. You were certainly successful in accenting the entire home with the rich orange color. Nicely done!

Nancy: I also did the lobby! I wanted a consistent, strong color message to lead the buyers through the building and then the model. Thanks to All for your comments! Julie
