Hi Tanya, you have hit on a pet peeve of mine. I hope that Kansas focuses on "wind" as opposed to ethanol production as a means of reducing the country's dependency on fossil fuels. Corn is very hard the earth as it is, without the added problem that all of that land is no longer feeding people but is instead powering electric tooth brushes and battery chargers:) I think that growing crops to produce oil is a bigger social and environmental problem than a realistic solution to a problem. Doing away with the internal combustion engine for passenger vehicles within ten years would go much further to alleviate the issues that ethenol is supposed to address.
