Although I am a Minneapolis (Richfield) native, I have lived in San Diego for 27 years. Yikes, where did time go!?  I am traveling to Mpls. on Monday for business and will be there for the week, with some time to explore.

I love and know the city well, and travel there about every year or two, but it seems to me that Minneapolis has open houses on Thursdays. Is that true? I recall one or two firms holding city-wide open houses on Thursdays, maybe it was Tuesdays.

If anyone in the Twin Cities market can confirm this I would love to check out the homes.

Also, since I am alone this week, are there any nice places (not a college beer bar or pizza joint) where I can have a nice dinner for one with a glass of wine at the bar? Sort of high end, just to have a very pleasant experience, where I won't feel weird by myself? Otherwise I will be eating all my meals at Perkins...their pancakes with apricot syrup are heaven but only go so far.
