When you're sad and blue

And you got the flu

Rest, recuperate.....

......... and get a new client.

~~~~~~
So....what do you folks do when you're sick?  Since my husband & I awoke Thursday morning we've been feeling icky. Yeah, the flu. Gary's is compounded with congestion.
I'm one of those people that refuses to lay down all day. So on Thursday I blogged as much as I could and then the rest of the afternoon we were in bed. Then I did a few emails and such and went back to bed.
Yesterday, I managed to get some work done and wouldn't ya know. I still had a CE class to do and found that it was online so that's what I did. Completed my last CE course and ready to renew my license in December.  And then, I took my temperature. I had a 95.7 "temp". Wonder if it's from cheating and tellling my son that we were sick and to PLEASE bring us milkshakes. Being the good boy...he drove over. BAD SALLY. High blood sugar.....but I deserved it!
Today. Gary had appointments to drop off his car and the chiropractor. Okay, we do all that and by time I am putting the key into my mailbox I am totally not feeling good. I get out of the car and someone says, "HI THERE"! I turn around and the gentleman asks me if I'm buying or selling. I told him I was a Realtor® and then he asked again. "buying or selling?" while pointing at my decal on my back windshield. I said both. He said, "Good, I'm looking to buy".
We talked a few minutes and he explained he just Relocated to Hawaii with the military. Well, I always have a mouthful as a former military dependent myself.  I jotted down his info and told him I'd call him in a few minutes. After directing him to speak with a local lender to start with......He's now pre-qualified for a VA loan, already set him up with auto listings according to his criteria and price range and I'll be making appointments for Wednesday morning.
Oh, and I did explain that the reason I was blabbing away while breaking out in a sweat was because I am getting over the flu. (just in case I wasn't acting 'normal')
So, when you're sad and blue.....from the flu....get a client.
* And the moral to this story?  I just put that sticker decal thingy on last month and this is the first person that approached me because of it :) ....oh! And I blog and take CE classes when I'm sick.
One time I had this listing appointment to go on and I was very ill that day...but I managed to make it there. I felt like to people were giving me weired looks like I had the plague or something because I was sweating from the meds and looked white as a ghost.
George: Funny how life MAKES me get up and go. I had to go to a sellers house and broke out in a sweat. I do believe I have one more night to recuperate before going to the office all day tomorrow.
And then we meet Cyndee and Jack on Tuesday!!
And then I think I just want to rest now. :)
Sally, Hope you are feeling better now.  Congrats on the new client and seeing your decal made me think I should get some made up for my family's cars too.  Why not use them to advertise as well !  Hmmm.
