It seems like everyday I meet someone outside of the real estate industry who has an opinion on what's going on in the market and how wants to let me know how much they know and have read. Always great to hear these stories and see how other people view the current situation of the real estate market and more importantly our country as a whole. It gives me alot of insight into how someone thinks and what's important to them. What issues in the economy today is that person focusing on? The jobless claims? Inflation? The latest MSN article on the 10 Ways You can Recession Proof Your Portfolio?? When I start talking to someone and hear about what concerns them it give me something to focus on to bring value to their life, after all as agents isn't that our first objective, even more so than selling real estate? Find a way to bring value to someone's life and leave them better off than before our encounter? I've been in this business "unoffically" for about six years now and learn something new everyday. Never stop the learning, especially about yourself, it's the most fascinating topic you'll ever study! I believe we are in one of the best markets I've seen in years and I wake up everyday looking forward to helping someone new achieve a better life through their real estate, because afterall it's ultimately about the client and what concerns them.

Matt, thanks for the positive view on the market.  It seems the media won't let up with the negative news, so our job becomes extra difficult in trying to dispel the myths that abound.  Glad you decided to join the Active Rain community.  Keep the positive posts coming!
