The other day I mailed 3 different Thank You Gifts, and was pretty happy that I actually got them mailed out.  You see I hate going to the Post Office, and used to give this chore to my assistant.  Not anymore....now I have to go myself, and everyone that knows me knows that if it has to be mailed.....it'll be awhile.  So, anyway, last week I finally got to the Post Office.....and I'll be a" Son of a b...." if I didn't mail the wrong thing to the wrong person :(

I wanted to give a little Thank You gift to a couple people, one of which was The Blog Artist  marti garaughtyfor helping me with my blog site.  I never know where he gets all his energy, and he consistently says he drinks a lot of coffee.....so I got THIS CUP for him......oh marti when you open the package I sent you....please know that I had one of those horrifying moments, then hilarious ones when I realized you got a totally different one than was intended for you :) :)

When people say it is the Gift that Counts...they probably didn't mail the wrong Thank You gift to someone...and if it ever happened to you, then you know how embarrassing it can be :)

Andy, thanks for the support.....marti is a real trooper, and it'll be fine....except I told the other person that he ended up with their gift, and when I told them what it was they wanted it....oh no, but we laughed about it, and I think marti will too :)

OMG Kathy! Lol. Well I happen to know that Marti is one heck of a stand-up guy and so he'll still appreciate it! And unfortunately I have experienced moments as embarrassing as this. But the sooner you can laugh at it, the sooner you'll get over; Marti will still appreciate you and like you :-)

Hi Kathy,
Funny!  Easy for me to say, right?

I know one that you got right!  The little one was overjoyed and we have read each one over and over.  You are one in a million.

maybe you better give the 'mailing' task back to your assistant!

Kathy, I'm sure he will appreciate the one he received. Did you get rid of your assistant, or is she on vacation? I would have done the same thing, only I make my husband wrap all the packages for Christmas to family, he is good at knowing how the right person gets the right gift.

Kathy,

Nice thought for Marti. But the mail service isn't always so reliable. I'm still waiting for something to be delivered 8 yrs ago:)

LOL that is funny, yes I have done that before in my life but in the end it all turned out well and we all had a good laugh. Now those mugs will have more of a story behind them than first intended.

It is the thought and the effort. So what if it doesn't fit! I use that reasoning every time!

HAH - I love reading your blogs.

HINT- I do enough mailing that I got a postage machine, has a scale built in, I can send my packages from the office.  With gas prices, you'll probably save money....

Hi Kathy, well the night people are finally awake so here I am drinking industrial strength coffee, laughing out loud.

And you know it happenes to all of us. I've sent chocolates to a client who is a diabetic, gourmet dog treats to a friend's dog but... they don't have a dog anymore. Yikes!

That is cute and definitely not a problem, meeting you in the Rain and having you as a friend is the best gift possible. Thx K ;-)) (still laughing)

Oh thats so funny - I don't usually mail gifts....couriering is cheaper out our way - but I've certainly made mistakes in gift giving, usually at Christmas when I haven't tagged them right after I've wrapped them!  But I love the mug and the post is so cute..:-)
