Caught in the Storm... by Twin Cities Homes for Sale

A few days ago, my daughter Ania and I were out having fun together at the Southdale Mall in Edina.  Little did we know that just outside, a sudden storm had moved in and water was coming down like "buckets".

Inside the building, it sounded like there was a busy bowling game going on the roof.

By the time we were ready to leave the mall, most of the rain had passed.  However, the lightning and thunder continued.  The sky looked different on the east horizon and different yet on the west.  Since I had my camera with me, so I tried take a few shots of the "light show".

After many tries, I was able to capture a glimpse of lightning.

You need to use a video or a multi-click (not sure what it is called) camera!

Very nice!

Thanks, Charles.  I could have used the video feature, but I wasn't sure how much memory was available.

I'm so glad you stopped by :)

Marzena--Beautiful pictures of the sudden storm...We were shopping for furniture. We thought of heading to Becker but decided Rosedale was close enough...Thank goodness as the weather was severe there! Always an adventure in the summertime in MN!

Marzena, Beautiful shots of the sky, it looks incredible.  I'm glad you were somewhere safe, I just heard about people getting hit by lightening.  I love to look at it...safely!

Hi Carole, we were safe.  It was fun trying to time the lighting. The storm itself was rather mild, it didn't cause damage.

Marzena, great photos. Smart girl having your camera with you at times like this. It's always so frustrating NOT to have my camera when there is a special moment like this. GREAT job! ;-)

Teri ~ Thank  you.  It was exciting to take these photos. I probably took about 50 of them. Next time I will try the film format,  The only problem with that is that I have a Kodak camera, and its movie format is not easily converted.

Russell ~ I'm so glad you liked living here.  Yes, summers get short.  That's why we pack them full of projects and events, adn trips to the lake, etc.  Come back for a visit sometime.

Marzena - Nice photos.  I don't mind summer storms as long as there's no high wind.  You did a great job of capturing the beauty that accompanies the change in weather.

Thank you, Lynn.  It was very exciting trying to capture the lightning and dodge the rain drops.
