Well my rookie year is over!!! I just finished my 25 hours of post-licensing requirements. I was blessed enough this year with being named Rookie of the Year!!! I received an email a while back that was one of those "FWD" messages that we all get. Well I don't remember what it was about, something like "You know you are having a bad day when:" and then some pictures. Well as I viewed them I thought how funny it was that they perfectly described my life as a "Rookie Realtor". So after only a few minutes I was able to put this little gem together and call it "My Life As A Rookie Realtor". Think back to your first year and I know you will agree!!! (As far as I know and checked these photos are not protected...if one of them is yours let me know so I can credit you or have it removed, Thanks)

As a Rookie Realtor there are many aspects to the job that seasoned veteran Realtors often forget about, as well they should. But to remind those that use to be “The Rookie”, here are some reminders.
HOME INSPECTIONS
As a Rookie you will do whatever it takes to make sure that you get to closing. Sometimes an explanation just isn’t good enough and you need the home inspector to show you that problem area.

OFFICE SPACE
As a Rookie you haven’t shown your worth yet. So in the eyes of your Broker you need a desk, but hey as far as comfort that’s something you need to earn.

And then there is always that one “guy” that although he has been in Real Estate less than you, seems to think he OWNS THE PLACE.

TAKING CARE OF CLIENTS
As a Realtor, even a Veteran Realtor there are many things you do for your client. But as a Rookie Realtor it seems you will DO ANYTHING to stay in their good graces and get that client to the closing table.

TAKING CARE OF CLIENT OBJECTIONS In any other job, sometimes you may have to sit in “The Complaint Department”. Well as a Rookie Realtor sometimes everyday can seem like sitting in that department. And you are always willing to go that extra mile just to make your client happy.

Lee, I was wildly entertained and I think you hit the nail on the head with the descriptions and illustrations of exactly what we will put ourselves through to see the transaction work to the favor of our clients. Amen, brothers and sisters! Preach, preacher!!! I bet all of your previous clients remember and love you!
Congratulations, I flagged you for a star for this one. Great post!
