Mary McKnight and RSS Pieces: Missing in Action?

Just read an interesting post and reply by an old employee of RSS who was less then fond of Mary... Would just really love to hear from someone what exactly is going on. There must be a "real" story and plan for the future...

I just dont believe that RSS had some "master" plan for RSS... IF there were then there would not have been a delay in the web training OR announcement of a replacement???

I wish her well but as the face of the company I would have liked to see more information from her as well as the company... MORE so from the company. They had to know that she was the FACE of the company... McDonald's would not fire Ronald and just say "don't worry we are still here and will be in touch in a few weeks..."

UPDATE

I have talked with Mary several times and she is doing well and has been a huge help. She is back at the real estate blogging thing and has a revamped website that you may all want to check out...

Hi Mark,

I don't believe I have been in touch with you, but I have vocally spoken of my dissapointment in what has been going on at RSS Pieces.

They deactivate my blog at 11:00 am on Thursday upon my request of a refund, but that was 4 days ago and my refund has not yet been posted, or initiated, from RSS Pieces to my account. Nicole informed me, at my prodding about the refund, that it might take 5-7 days to post to my account... but I have no idea why. I think something screwy is going on there, but I have no idea how to put my finger on it.

My blog was only 3 months old (and the last month was spent without Mary), and without Mary it was just another website to me. I didn't need to front that much money to pay for a regular old website. I had better luck with Active Rain than I had with RSS Pieces.

I don't have any answers, only more questions. I am out $1600, and I don't even have an active blog to show for it.

I had been in touch with Mary via e-mail, but my site it down again. I just want my money back!!!

That is bad... You should see if they will let you take the blog over to wordpress? I guess no refund if you do that? The whole thing just seems disorganized. I hope all will be well just don't like "being in the dark"

I will be suprised if they stay in business now that they lost the face of their business. I didn't realize that she wasn't an owner of the company as all my correspondence with RSS was always with Mary.

I am pretty new to ActiveRain, but I found that Mary's blog was (and is) one of the most helpful in getting me around this new medium. I recently read some of the flames on her site, until they were pulled, and feel sorry that she had to face some of the most unflattering and reprehensible comments from some unidentified source, reminds me of the ePerks flames. Please, as you seem to know about what's happening, update us.

Hey all...

I was able to communicate with Mary last night and she seems very well. You can also check out http://activerain.com/blogsview/576391/Mary-McKnight-no-Longer blog where she posted a few short replies. I really just think she is trying to stay above all the he said she said business...

I know she does not want to get into things here online but offers her contact info for those that really want to touch base.

I know she is at 1 Park Place and had been working with them before she left RSS so I think she has landed on her feet... I would expect to maybe see more of her online again once things blow over... my guess not her words.

1 Park Place seems to be a great company... I know they have a great IDX product so if anyone is in the market they should give her a call for that as well. Not cheap but great tools...

Mary has been a phenomenal contributor to AR with her SEO posts. Hopefully she will be able to rise above this. When things like this happen, you really have to react quickly. If Mary stays out of the public eye too long, she may lose her following. It would surprise me if she quickly drummed up a new domain name and started her own business. Keep us posted.

Not sure what the plans are but I am sure given Mary's personality and willingness to share that even if she lays low for awhile... she will have and/or build a solid following of agents once again. People will always see value in what she is willing to share.

I believe that she is the director of marketing... or something like that. I know she is very familure with the 1PP platform as they did integration with RSS and 1PP for awhile. I think her and John, her husband even helped to write the rss function for 1pp.

About a week or so ago I read a post by Mary... briefly commenting on her leaving RSS. She was not very complimentary about the way she was treated... although she seemed to be trying to keep her remarks to a minimum. It sounded like it was not a very smooth or peaceful break between her and RSS... but I appreciated how professional she was trying to keep what she had to say. I wish Mary all the best. RSS... well... that's another story.

Mary has done a good job of trying to stay above it all... RSS is confusing? They play it off like this was some master plan and yet it has been weeks and NO classes, NO email, NO blog posts???? Some master plan...

What I did get from them was attempts to charge me MORE then I signed up to pay and yet give me NO service... dont think so...
