Is a home auction the new silver bullet?

Lagging sales have forced many homeowners to look for alternative methods to sell their homes. Humboldt County now has almost 13 months of inventory and about 725 listings on the market. Where are they going to find ready willing and able buyers in this market?

Home auctions! We had a home sale via auction not too long ago and it sold for a lot less than market value. There are more auctions on the stairs of the county courthouse and in many of our title companies almost on a daily basis.

EBay currently has 920 properties for sale and US Home Auctions has 415 properties for sale. Is this the new way to sell a home? We shall see.

That is really amazing that Ebay has homes listed. I guess you can still preview the homes if you want to bid?
