Many of you responded to my last post about being a horrid mess while working in my front yard and having a person stop and chat. They had revealed that they were trying to decide whether to sell their house or not and I didn't have the nerve to tell them this mess of a person in front of them was a Realtor.
Many of you responded that it was OK to tell them that I was a Realtor, since we can't be in professional mode all of the time. Well...today I was working in my daughters front yard...a mess again...and a nice woman stopped by and started chatting. She told us she was going to sell her house and was interested in the rental next to my daughters house. I heard all of your advice in the back of my head and boldly said, "I don't look like it, but I am a Realtor with Windermere Dunnigan Realtors. If you need any help, I would be happy to assist you."
OK - this is where it gets a little weird. She says "Do you know XXXXX ?" "Yes I did - she works in my office and is a wonderful agent!" She responds "Do you know a Paula Zimmerman?" It's ME!!!! Well, my maiden name! It turns out that her sister is a woman that I worked with years ago who touted my ability to help her! Life is strange!
