The Greater Austin area has been getting the following positive press recently:

  1. Round Rock listed as the number 7 of the top 100 best places to live in the USA by CNNMoney.com.
  2. Austin is rated as the 14th best city in the USA to raise a family by Bestlife Magazine.
  3. Austin area economy has remained very strong throughout the current economy crisis.
  4. Austin has been named Recession-Proof by Forbes.com.

It becomes apparent why Austin was named the 8th fastest growing city in the USA by the Census Bureau last year!  Even smaller, formerly sleepy north Austin area communities like Hutto are exploding with all the growth due to new road, tollway and freeway construction.

  2. Investors in both the above classes of real estate.

And San Antonio is the #2 city to live in, according to a report from RISMedia's July 2008 magazine.

Our economy continues to grow.  We have added jobs, new homes and are getting a Texas A&M campus here too.  The US Army is bring in 20,000 personnel.

Come on down.  San Antonio is much more than the Alamo and our wonderful RiverWalk.

And no wonder.....Austin is an awesome place to be close to.....PS. I have no dog in the hunt, except that I think Austin is an awesome city. Next time I am there - I am putting Round Rock on the agenda. Congrats, that is something that should help in selling a home

Steve, after returning from a weekend in your Texas, I would have to agree. In Houston it was just buzzing with business. The only bad about our weekend was the Cubs two losses to the Astros. Don't Mess with Texas!
