What is a Webinar?
Webinar or web conferencing is a format to present live meetings or presentations over the Internet visually. Participants sit at their computer that is connected to other participants via the internet. A webinar can be collaborative including question & answer sessions to allow full contribution between listeners and the host. Generally, the presenter talks via a standard telephone line, pointing out information that is being shown on screen, such as Power Point. The audience can respond over their own telephones with questions they may have. Webinars may have depending on the provider hidden or anonymous participant functionality, where partakers are unaware of other members in the same meeting.
What is a teleconference?
It is similar to Webinar with the difference that is not web based and visual. It allows coaches to train many participants at once without the need of travel. All you need is a telephone line or your cell phone. Audiences can be a few callers or hundreds of callers taking part in a teleconference.
