1.    Please do not write anymore happy--"I went to a seminar"---"and the business is great."...
                           Because it is not!!!!!

         2.    No matter who you are....you are no better than anyone else around here...
That's just the way life is!!!!!!!

         3.    All of us need to take a step back once in a while and reflect on the quality of our life....
Because it is too short to think we can "will ourselves" into a better place.

         4.    Living in today takes consistency and effort every step of the way.
Making small mistakes along the way is the maturity process that creates

       wonderful human beings.

          5.   Fear of tomorrow stops us from enjoying any part of today.
Clients need their agents to walk them through the mess we work in.

Just a few thoughts as I get ready for Inman.

You are an optimist and pessimist all wrapped into 1 --- but.... so is the market -- but I have a feeling you haven't had a good day today---- am I right?

Kim, you sound like you're writing from a depressed place.  I must disagree that we can't will ourselves into a better place.  Isn't that what free will is all about?

Patricia,  I have read 9 posts in the last few days about people going to a seminar and all of a sudden everything works in their life....I have also been to lot of them over many years and usually the feeling is only temporary...then we are still left with ourselves....And My day hasn't been that bad.

Kim- perhaps you have a borrower that needs a true professional Loan Officer to help!

That will put a smile on your face!!!

Hope things improve

Brian,  Not a depressed place at all...just a real place....False pride and ego can sometimes hide our free will....then not much gets done on a daily basis.  Thanks for commenting...

Sometimes I too wonder where your head is at...even though we are in the same house.

Yes Dear, I do love you and understand you...just a follow up to our conversation.

You bottom line things...I want to see your wheels a turnin'.  But then my wheels turn fast enough for both of us.  You can be my rock.

You know Ardell that I love to be "in the back" and help you move forward. Had my day in the sun a while ago...NOW it is your turn.

Kim, THANK YOU!

Not to make light of it by any means, but I found myself saying to two different people who were complaining today, "well you know what? It's not cancer". Shut them right up! Perspective is often lost in this business.

Hi Colleen,  Have been getting over inner ear/head cold since Inman Connect and just now felt like working.....Sorry for the delay in responding.....

Yes,  it is just life and sometimes the perspective of ourselves is rated way too high in order to actually see the reality in front of us...."not cancer"...good one....

Hi honey!  You should write another post and make it happier.  One music video post about one artist or one song. Iit doesn't have to be everyone you like best.  Write one post on each of your favorites.

Talk about depressing. According to everything I've read and every successful person that I have followed, the ones who succeed are the ones who maintain a positive attitude no matter how grim the market may be.  Being negative is only going to make you feel worse and cause your business to suffer even more.

Kim, love it.  Get real, get honest, and get to work.  Have realistic goals, timelines, and expectations a buy "home" not an investment.

Jared,  I wrote this back in July after coming across 11 posts in 3 days here on AR that were all about feeling good after some seminar and/or some office meeting to perk their spirits up. After meeting with all my agents, and talking to several in Seattle I have known for years, this is what came up on the computer.  Too many people at that moment in time were in total denial of life's meaning and circumstances.  BTW, I am one of those guys that believes in the glass half full just about all the time. Tremendous faith in the human spirit and always " doing the right thing".  Thanks for your comment and hope things are good for you.

Thanks Rich,  This is what I tell everyone I meet in this business. It is real, we have the power to help others get through this ongoing mess and hopefully make thing right, one client/agent/etc. at a time.

sounds like you are being sucked down the black hole of this market....seminars help, they put you in better moods, and give you hope!  I'd suggest one ASAP!
