Are You Honest!

By
Property Manager with Casa Bella Development Group

Let's be very Honest, Who in this market is making a cent? I have tried everything and nothing seems to be working. The clients that I have work with, are having so much trouble to get a loan that I do not know how to make a sale anymore. Is there something out there that I do not know, and if there is, can anyone help me out. At this point my reputation is the last thing I care about, I am thinking to go back to my previous employment and start getting a salary. What do you think about that? Is there a certain job that a Real estate Agent can do?, or do I need to apply a fast food place? Any suggestions!

Hi Dora, it is certainly harder in real estate than in some previous years.  The market is a bit soft and the lending fiasco has not helped.  Try to concentrate on a "have met" database, make a list of everyone you know.  Hopefully it will be about 100 people; then find low cost ways to stay in touch with them.  Write a newsletter and email it to them, send them a lottery ticket with "lucky to know you" on it, etc.  Good luck!

Dora -- I feel your pain. After a pretty decent May and June, July has been painfully slow. I'd be interested in hearing what some other agents have to say in response to your question.

I know exactly where you are coming from. The ITIN programs are asking for at least 15% down payment. Most of the buyers do not have that. I have stopped working with people with ITIN's for this reason. I do advise them to start saving money and start building credit lines.

There is nothing wrong with having to resort back to your old job. When the market comes back hopefully we will see you again.

Dora,

Don't agree with your premise at all, but if you need a steady paycheck look for a position that you enjoy.
