Unique Bear Creek mailbox in Wentzville MO: A Mailbox Series Update

While out taking pictures of Bear Creek Subdivision in Wentzville MO I came upon this unique mailbox.  So not only does Bear Creek have a wonderful golf course it also has this unique mailbox.  When you come out to play a round of golf come early and look for this mailbox.  Here's a hint: It will be close to the fifth hole!

Mel,

I didn't think that there were any interesting mailboxes around my area nad I have found two.  I would bet that you have at least one...

You are very welcome ma'am I know how it feels my wife had a heart attack in Jan. 2004.

I like the mailbox, Don. Everybody in my neighborhood just went with the plain 'ol brick or box on a post.  I guess we're not a creative bunch.

Good Evening Jesse,

These two bears are at least avid St. Louis Cardinals Fans!!!!  And I know that you guys up in Fairbanks are very creative too.

Glad to hear from you my friend, how's the fishin'?

Those are cute. We usually see the manatee mailboxes on the beachside here. But on the mainland, almost every community has a HOA that either limits or dictates what type and color of mailbox we can have.

What fun mail boxes are boring and a little originality is good for the postman too.

Good morning Ms. Lisa,

I was thinking the same thing when I saw this mailbox, all of the others were the traditional look.  They must have been one of the original owners before it was turned over to the HOA or they got a special dispensation.

Have a GREAT day ma'am.

Terry,

I can only imagine what the postal worker(PC) is thinking as they go thru their day.....brick, brick, brick, wood, wood, wiid, oops steel pipe OMG BEARS!

Have a GREAT day.

Don - I like a sub-division where the hoa doesn't restrict everything, as a former relief rural mail carrier, I certainly would not have trouble recognizing that box.

Mike,  I agree variety does spice things up and this is just one way of adding a little spice to more than one persons life.

Well, I can't come find the mailbox but that is adorable! I love the little bears and how appropriate!  Nothing cute in my neighborhood but I have seen some unique ones while out and about!

Don that certainly is an interesting mail box. It says a lot about the home owners personality I am sure :)

Bill,

Good morning sir and thank you for stopping in and commenting.  I think that it would say just a "little" bit about the owners.

Have a Great day sir.

It was out of this world good.  We caught our limit every day.  Ready to come up and do a little fishing?

Don, I love that mailbox- I wonder where they got it.  I live in a log home and that mailbox would be so cute!!!  Also, my mailbox was hit by a snowplow in the winter- so it's barely holding on- so I need a new one!!  LOVE IT
