The joy of NFL opening Sunday
Opening Sunday of the NFL is one of my favorite days of the year - practically a national holiday. There's nothing like the feeling of a fresh slate, which all 32 teams have going in. Who's going to be this year's surprise team? Who's going to be the big flop? Who's going to dominate and win the Superbowl?
Everyone has hope for their team, yes even me with my KC Chiefs. My wife and I eagerly await the first kickoff. We plan our special foods ahead of time. Get the den all cleaned up and ready to make a mess of by the time the day is over. We have a yellow penalty flag and the ref challenge flag ready to throw at the screen at a moments notice.
