These two young lionesses, JouJou on the left, Bijou on the right, have been seen hunting food in the jungles of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Generally, these beasts prey on small lizards, large flying animals such as butterflies and and sparrows, and have occasionally taken down a green or black snake. They appear affectionate and loving, however, one should not be misled. The true purpose of their tolerance of human-kind is their attraction to treats. JouJou and Bijou are the youngest in a pride of four females. If you should encounter these girls in the wilds of Santa Rosa Beach, approach them only with extreme caution.
Robert, we have been losing lions in our neighborhood. I think to Coyotes. We just put in an invisible fence to try to curtail our lion but he escaped for a short time this evening. I wasn't home but my husband swears he was not in the back yard. He turned off the invisible fence so the lion could come home. Hopefully that will be his last escapade.
Good luck, Marchel. Coyotes are bad critters... Lions are no match for them...
Robert: Very cute post. I once saw a Discovery Channel special on felines and they ranked them in order of their vicousness. The house cat was number one. It reached that rank for the way in which it "plays" with its prey before it puts it out of its misery.
Beatiful lionesses, I dont believe the terror stories for a minute - haha!

I can see the killer instinct in their eyes, the butterflies had better be wary when the girls are on the prowl. Steve
They look like real badazzz lionesses. Is that a drop of blood on the front ones paw? Yikes, I'm scared. LOL
