Good Recession News (if possible)

By
Real Estate Agent with Kendall Haney Realty Group

I was listening a program on CNBC this morning where an economist was talking about the recession that we are in (I know that we aren't yet admitting from the Federal Government that we are in a recession) last only about 11 months since World War II.

He was saying that we should be seeing an improvement in the market by Spring since he estimated that the recession began in early Spring.  We'll see.

Dana....forget the media and concentrate on making your own strong market...adapting to the uniqueness of your area.  When you keep the theme of recession and gloom and doom it puts you in a rut.  Its like brokers are looking for someone to give the signal or tell them the market is hunky dory so go to it. Maine prices are so low and affordable that this theme does not apply.  My son goes to GW and DC is such a different market than rural america. Stay upbeat and work hard!

I agree-forget the media. Focus on your local market. Good luck! CNN does not know what is happening in YOUR neighborhood.

I love that there is a specific definition of a recession, and yet the media so badly want to blame Bush for one that they are willing to ignore the definition.

We may end up in one, thoug... especially if taxes go up and we keep sending all of our money overseas for oil.
