Invite friends over – Since not everyone is lucky enough to live in such close proximity to NASA, many people have never seen the shuttle disappear into space, let alone witness its take-off. Share the gift of good location and invite out-of-towners to take part in the experience of watching this spectacular event.

Pack a picnic lunch (or dinner) – Try not to just walk outside your home to see the shuttle launch and walk back in. Being so close to the launch pad, we suggest you make this an event! Pack up some lunch and stay outside for a while. Share food, photos and laughs with your loved ones while waiting for the moment of lift-off. And if you stay long enough, don’t forget to pack dessert!

Go to a nearby park – Stanley Homes’ communities are just a short walk away from some of Melbourne’s cleanest parks on the Indian River Lagoon. Riverside and Pineda are two parks, in particular that have picnic facilities and boat ramps to enjoy the day of the launch.

Bring your binoculars – There is nothing better than watching the shuttle take off from Space Coast except watching it take off from Space Coast with binoculars. From this close, you can see the smoke, the fire and even the release of the rocket boosters!
