St. Louis Foreclosures

By

Did anyone catch the channel 11 TV show this weekend on St. Louis foreclosures?

Thoughts?

Not great, huh.

I would have to say that I felt the show was weak. I saw the same photo on different listings. Many of the listings were not even wholesale deals, the asking price and wholesale price were the same.

The TV show feels forced and I saw the same commercial 4 times which shows me they had a hard time finding advertisers.

The show is put together by individuals that are not involved in real estate in the least bit. They do not have their finger on the pulse of our industry and its my opinion that they simply hear the word "foreclosures" on a daily basis and felt that they could throw a TV show together and people would flock to it.

They were trying to do a show with all non MLS property so they could remove the "middle man", the agent, and help sellers keep more of the money. they soon realized that was not a good idea.

A great resource for St. Louis foreclosures, fixer uppers and bank owned property is www.RehabaHouse.com

What are your thoughts on TV stations putting together programs that they have no knowledge of?

What a mess, the public is beginning to blame the media for the price drops, and the media MAY be exaggerating things but in some cases they are playing it down. Facts will continue to serve us all well.
